Contact requests

We store your name, email, reason, message, optional article URL, language and submission date to handle your request. The basis is legitimate interest in responding and maintaining the publication, or compliance with a legal obligation where applicable. The acknowledgement confirms you have read this notice; it is not marketing consent. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.

Subscriptions and accounts

If enabled and requested, newsletter subscriptions store email, language, confirmation and cancellation details on the basis of consent. Confirmation is required and you may unsubscribe using the link. Administrative accounts store their identifiers, roles and a password protected by a hash; sessions and audit events support access security.

Operation and recipients

Technical sessions, security checks and server logs allow the service to operate and prevent abuse. Contact messages are restricted to authorised editorial staff. Hosting and service providers may process necessary data under suitable agreements. AI editorial tools do not require submission of contact messages. Any international transfer must have an applicable lawful mechanism; we do not claim that all external services are located in the European Union.

Retention

Contact requests are retained while being handled and for any period justified by obligations or disputes, then deleted through private administration. Subscriptions remain while active; cancellation stops delivery. Technical sessions expire according to configuration. Editorial evidence and audits may require longer retention where justified. Retention criteria depend on the purpose and applicable obligations.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable, object to processing and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Use the contact form; identity verification must be proportionate. You may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or another competent supervisory authority. Requests are handled within applicable statutory periods.
