Castellón-based startup Niubiq has closed a €410,000 funding round led by Angels Capital, the investment company linked to Juan Roig and part of Marina de Empresas. Club de Inversión Órbita and Elephant also participated, joining the company's shareholder base.
Capital to strengthen the team and structure
Niubiq will use the funds to drive its next phase of growth, with strengthening its structure and team as priorities, according to the company. No information has been published about the company's valuation or the equity stake associated with the transaction.
The firm, headquartered in Castellón de la Plana, develops a commercial intelligence platform to analyze what happens to sales contacts—or leads—from the time they reach a company until they become customers or stop progressing through the process. To do so, it integrates information from interactions such as calls, video calls, meetings, WhatsApp, and email.
Analyzing the journey of each contact
The offering aims to help companies understand not only how many contacts they receive and how many ultimately make a purchase, but also which factors influence the progress or loss of opportunities. According to Gonzalo Bravo, CEO of Niubiq, many companies invest in acquiring leads but have less information available to understand what happens afterward. Bravo said the round will enable the company to bring the platform to more businesses.
The founders' backgrounds also connect the project to Castellón's technology ecosystem. Sergio Aguado, a computer engineer and co-founder of Cuatroochenta, is involved in Niubiq alongside Bravo. The startup has participated in Lanzadera, the accelerator within Marina de Empresas, and the Órbita program linked to CEEI Castellón.
The announced funding will allow Niubiq to address the resources it has identified as necessary to consolidate and scale the business. Available information does not specify a schedule for using the funds or the period of activity the round will cover; therefore, estimates about its duration should not be interpreted as a forecast confirmed by the company.
