La Séptima has appointed Ildefonso Tébar as its director of commercial operations as it prepares to launch. His responsibilities will include managing advertising inventory and defining the company’s pricing policy, according to information released by the channel.
The appointment comes as La Séptima develops its offering for advertisers and agencies. According to the company, the proposal will combine traditional advertising with new formats and solutions for brands, and will cover both free-to-air television and its digital and social media platforms. Advertising sales for the channel will be handled by Pulsa Media, according to one of the publications that reported on the appointment.
A career spanning media, agencies and advertisers
Tébar joins from &Beyond, where he worked in media trading and investment. He has more than 25 years of experience in the advertising and audiovisual industry, with roles at media companies, agencies and advertiser companies.
Before &Beyond, he was vice president of commercial, marketing and digital at AMC Networks International Southern Europe for more than five years, and was a member of its management committee. He also held senior positions at Samsung Electronics, BBVA, Universal McCann and ONO.
The new director described his appointment as an opportunity to design commercial operations from the outset. “My goal is for us to be able to combine rigor and efficiency with the flexibility needed to listen to agencies and advertisers,” Tébar said.
Launch still scheduled for November
La Séptima is preparing to begin broadcasting on November 5, 2026, a date announced by the company and reported by the publications that covered the appointment. It is therefore a planned launch, not a channel that has already begun broadcasting.
Tébar’s appointment adds to the development of the channel’s commercial team as it finalizes its approach to the advertising market. The reach of its offering on television and digital platforms, and the response to it, will depend on its launch and on how the announced proposal takes shape.
